My Happy Weekend
Hello! My name is Lily. I am a primary school student, and I want to tell you about my happy weekend.
Last Saturday morning, I got up early because I was very excited. After breakfast, my mom took me to the park. The sun was shining brightly, and the flowers were blooming beautifully. We played games like hide-and-seek and flew kites together. The wind blew gently, making the kites soar high in the sky. It felt so wonderful to be outside with my mom!
In the afternoon, I visited my grandmother. She lives in a small village, and it's always fun to see her. Grandma made dumplings for us. They smelled delicious, and they tasted even better! While eating, we talked about many things. She told me stories from when she was young, and I shared what happened at school. Those moments were full of laughter and warmth.
Sunday was another great day. In the morning, I did my homework first. Even though it wasn’t easy, I tried my best to finish everything carefully. Then, I read an interesting book about animals. I learned that pandas are endangered but people are working hard to protect them. It made me feel proud to know how much effort is being put into saving our planet.
After lunch, I went shopping with my dad. He bought me a new notebook and some colorful pens. I love writing and drawing in my notebook now. It gives me ideas for creating stories or doodling pictures.
That evening, after dinner, I watched a cartoon movie with my family. Everyone laughed at the funny parts, and it brought us closer together. Before going to bed, I thought about all the good things I experienced during the weekend. I felt grateful for having such a loving family and friends who make life so enjoyable.
This weekend taught me that happiness doesn't have to come from big events; sometimes, simple moments can bring the most joy. I hope every weekend could be as wonderful as this one!
