The Little Rabbit and the Moon

Once upon a time, in a small village surrounded by green hills, there lived a little rabbit named Pip. Pip was known for his curiosity and adventurous spirit. He loved exploring the world around him, especially the big, glowing moon that appeared every night.

One evening, as Pip hopped through the meadow, he noticed the moon looking back at him with its silvery light. "Why does the moon always follow me?" Pip wondered aloud. Determined to find out, he decided to visit the moon and ask it himself.

The next morning, Pip set off on his journey. He asked a wise old owl sitting on a tree branch, "How can I reach the moon?" The owl chuckled and said, "Only dreams and courage can take you far."

Pip felt inspired. That night, under the starry sky, he began to dream of flying. As he closed his eyes, he imagined himself floating upward, past clouds and stars. When he opened his eyes, he found himself rising gently into the air! It wasn’t magic—it was his imagination giving him wings.

Higher and higher he went until he reached the moon. There, he met Luna, the moon rabbit, who had been watching over Earth for centuries. "Hello!" Pip greeted her cheerfully. "Why do you follow me?"

Luna smiled warmly. "I don’t follow you, dear rabbit. You simply remind me of someone I used to know—a curious little creature who loved adventures just like you."

"Oh," Pip said, feeling proud. "But why do you shine so brightly?"

"To guide those who feel lost or lonely," Luna explained softly. "Your bright eyes and kind heart also help light the way for others."

Pip thought about this. From that day on, whenever he looked up at the moon, he remembered how special it was—not just for its beauty but for the warmth it brought to everyone below.

And so, Pip returned home, carrying not only new knowledge but also a deeper appreciation for the world above and within him. Every night, when the moon shone brightly, Pip would wave goodbye, knowing it was shining just for him.
